CM Architects role with this Brisbane renovation was to re-arrange the house to remove the inner rooms that often make a Queenslander dark in the centre. We opened up that room to the lean-to beside which brought in more natural light into what became a bedroom.

A second ‘internal’ room as then opened up to become a more open living / dining space.

The kitchen had minor changes undertaken as the future second stage of the renovations in a few year’s time is planned where a new upper deck is constructed and the kitchen will be altered when that occurs.

Many renovations occur in stages and CM Architects see our role as providing a ‘masterplan’ for all of the proposed changes and then making sure that any new works tie in with the overall vision for the house.
