Last Friday was one of the most inspirational days of my life.

It started with about 100 other people listening to 4 inspiring speakers talk about the importance of people in making spaces great.

As designers, we do a great job designing buildings and urban spaces that are beautiful, but without people loving them and without greenery, art, music, food and people these spaces don’t come alive. That’s what we did last Friday- Ipswich Central partnership, in conjunction with Ipswich City Council activated Darcy Doyle Place in the heart of Ipswich.

To see so many people come and join in the kid’s activities, talent show, food trail, art installations and visual projections onto empty building street facades was just amazing. Check out the video on Ipswich central partnership facebook page.
