Busselton house, Western Australia
This WA client fell in love with the town of Busselton and decided to build their ‘forever’ house here. The brief was to design a creative, maintenance free and affordable house that would take the best advantage of the north facing site.
The design evolved based on the idea of creating a higher level ceiling space to the living areas and a more modest height in the bedrooms and garage, leading to this unique trapezoidal shaped design.
The low maintenance preference meant that off-white vertical metal cladding was ideal as it also provided good solar performance for the house.
