Renovation of an existing timber and tin Queenslander home on a 400m2 inner city Brisbane site. The owner wanted to re-introduce more character into the existing house and to improve the kitchen and living area and add a deck /outdoor living area. The house sits within a ‘Traditional character’ overlay and so there were restrictions as to what could be altered to the pre 1945 part of the house.

They also wanted to add a second dwelling to the property as it is located on a corner and separate access can be provided to the second dwelling.

The change of focus from busy Vulture St to the quieter Edgar St was also part of the changing of the perception of the property, therefore a new entry to main house was created along Edgar St.
